The exhibition showcased paintings, prints, sculptures, ceramics installations and photographs by 59 veteran and emerging Odia artists living and practicing in Odisha. Repose was a prelude event to the Odisha Art Conclave 2016 organized by IPCA. It was organized a week before the Conclave in consonance with the efforts of the diaspora artist community to showcase importantOdia art.

The exhibition offered a unique opportunity to students, practitioners, researchers, art historians and lovers of art of this emerging smart city, to glimpse the spectrum of artistic imagination in different kinds of media and varied forms. Repose aimed to establish the efforts of Odia artists who are guarding the home turf against all odds and with very meagre support. IPCA brought them together, providing support and highlighting their work. It was a realization for the citizens of Bhubaneshwar that Repose had the strength to match any kind of contemporary art practiced in Indian cities.

For wider dissemination, a multi-coloured catalogue documenting the works of all 59 artists participating in exhibition Repose was released on the occasion.
