IPCA published a book, Nandalal Bose O Santiniketan by Shri Durgaprasad
Das,an eminent senior artist of Odisha. Shri Das, an alumnus of Viswa Bharati and the former
Principal of College of Art and Craft, Khallikote is known for his command of over Indian style of
painting with elements of Chinese paintings embedded in them. This book is about Shri Das’s
close interaction with Shri Nandalal Bose while he was a student at Kala Bhavana,
Santiketan.
As part of our mandate to promote art students from Odisha, we support scholarships for
graduate artists to pursue a Master’s in Fine Arts in reputed universities outside Odisha. The
idea is to enable them to hone their core competencies, as well as, synergise their
specialised skills with emerging trends in the contemporary art world. For the year 2020 -
2021, five such graduate students were selected for IPCA MFA Scholarship.
